[Fe] Iron plus [C] Carbon equals Steel. All of my frames are built using 4130 chromoly steel or stainless steel, using a majority of True Temper steel manufactured in the USA. Where True Temper does not make a product that is suitable for a given application it is usually sourced from either Columbus, Reynolds, Nova or in the case of stainless KVA.
There are three kinds of finishes that are available:
Ceramic coating is a new finish that I have started to use with my mountain bikes. It is an extremely durable finish (far more durable than paint or powder) that is the lightest of the three. It costs more than powder but less than paint.
Using a combination FeCycles front end matched with a Ventana linkage I am able to offer a fully custom full suspension bike frame with anywhere from 4" to 6" of travel in 26", 27.5" (650b) and 29" wheel size. There is an additional $1,100 charge to the cost of a basic frame and that includes a FOX rear shock as well as your choice of 135mm quick release dropout or 142x12 through axle.
See this blog post HERE for all about the many different dropouts that we can use.
