Racks racks racks! I just finished the brazing for a custom rack for a Kirk frameworks bike. The goal of the rack is to fit a "Racktime" bag and only that bag. Without having to worry about having to support panniers we went with just the one vertical leg. As for attaching to the upper seat stays I went with an adjustable attachment rather than something that was custom fit. This was simply because as this was going on an existing frame with a very nice paintjob I didn't want to damage the finish by attempting to braze with rack on the bike. With my more integrated racks this is something I never hesitate with however, those frames are unfinished and there is no chance of damaging them.
In other rack news I also finished thirty six more event racks for Big Shark a little while ago. I was able to utilize my new mill and greatly sped up the drilling process. After 432 holes I was definetely getting used to the new machine!
Perhaps instead of FeC I should rename to Racks-R-Us?
