Back from the dead!

Transient

Wow, it seems like forever since I last made a post!  Well there has been a lot going on and unfortunately I have not had that much of a chance to make it to the shop hardly at all in the past couple of weeks.  All that is at an end however and I was able to spend almost the whole day there today as well as a couple of hours a few days ago.  It did feel pretty good to be able to focus solely on my own projects.

Anyhow, I am almost finished with the Strada repair and can finally move on to some other projects.  Not that I mind the project, I just want to move on to something new.  Both chain stays have been fitted into the lug sockets and have been slotted to match the existing dropouts.  Once I get the silver I need then I can wrap this baby up!

I am going to attempt to work on my next two projects at the same time.  The first is a new road bike for myself.  I have never been truly happy with the way my current road bike felt and by building a new frame using my new design method I will be able to compare and contrast the way the two frames fit me.  One of the most important changes I am going to be making to my new road frame is that I am keeping/adding rack mount points.  For some reason I removed them from my first road bike and have been regretting the decision ever since.  This frame will be complete with both front and rear racks as well.  Also I plan on keeping the fork design similar to that of my Easton EC90 fork so I can interchange them without affecting the geometry of the bike too much.

The second frame is going to be a 24" mountain bike for my daughter.  She has been riding a 20" Specialized since she turned 6 (she is 9 now) and it is getting a little small for her.  Also with this new bike she will be able to take to the trails with me and my Dad.
