Its been a pretty busy week with the family but I somehow managed to fit in a couple of days to work on the bikes. My Dads frame is pretty much tacked together and I can't wait to get it finished! Before that however I want to get my new frame tacked together so I can braze the both of them at the same time. I did run into some issues with the chainstays having enough clearnace with the tires, however that was easily fixed. With this frame I was able to use my seat stay jig to help hold them in place, which helped a lot. For my first frame I built at UBI I didn't have this little attachement to the jig and I had issues with the Seat-stays twisting from the heat. It wasn't really that noticable unless you knew where to look, however I knew about it and it always pissed me off every time I looked at it. Now those Seat-stays are flat and look pretty nice.
On my frame I already the Top-tube mitered and the Heat-tube cut to length and the seat tube brazed to the Bottom-bracket. All that needs to be finished on it is the Down-tube mitered to fit and to drill out the vent holes before I can tack that frame together.
